Aloha from Maui!

After a very long hiatus....hi again, blog.

We're on a babymoon! I haven't announced it here yet but we're expecting a little girl in early December. We're in Maui celebrating the waning last moments of relaxation and freedom.

We stayed at The Whaler on Ka'anapali Beach. It's an old 70's condo complex in arguably the best location ever. According to my mom, it used to be THE place to go in Maui. We're in an ocean front corner unit. The waves are practically right underneath us. It's pretty incredible!

These next couple photos feature the view from our huge wrap-around deck.

One of my favorite things about Maui is the pina coladas. I try to have one every day. These days, they're non-alcoholic. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I love them just as much.

One day we went to a Whaling Museum. Here's Brian with some whale bones.

Ka'anapali Beach!

One day we drove up the coast and watched surfers.

One day we went snorkeling. We saw those giant turtles! I have a photo of me, 7.5 months pregnant, in snorkeling gear -- but alas it will not be showcased here. It's positively ridiculous in every possible way.

Today we revisited our honeymoon resort, Napili Kai -- and went to the Sea House Restaurant. We have fond memories of our first brunch in Maui on our honeymoon. We sat oceanside and watched spinner dolphins while eating banana and macadamia nut pancakes.

And of course, one night we had dinner at my all-time favorite restaurant, Mama's Fish House. I've had two of the most memorable meals of my life here now. It's a magical, romantic experience, and a perfect way to celebrate our upcoming addition!

Ready to go home...mostly because I miss our dog so much.
